WATCH: Matt Olson launches home run 53

The Braves first baseman is now tied for the Atlanta Braves RBI single-season record

Matt Olson hit his 53rd home run of the season and RBI #132. He already holds the Braves single-season record for home runs and is now tied for the Atlanta Braves RBI record set by Gary Sheffield in 2003. Eddie Matthews holds the franchise record of 135 RBIs with the 1953 Milwaukee Braves.

Tonight’s blast for Olson traveled 371 feet into the left field seats, with a 23-degree launch angle, and 104 mph off the bat.

Olson continues to lead all of Major League Baseball in home runs. Pete Alonso of the Mets and Kyle Schwarber of the Phillies each have 45 home runs.

The home run is Olson's 53rd of the season, extending his franchise-best mark; Olson passed Andruw Jones for the single-season record just last week.
