WATCH: Michael Harris II makes an AMAZING diving catch against the Mets

MLB Statcast considers a batted ball of that velocity and angle to almost certainly be a base hit, but not when Money Mike's on the job

Michael Harris II has been absolutely on FIRE at the plate recently. Batting .368/.395/.601 since June 6th, he's hit for a higher full-season OPS (.807) than most leadoff hitters in MLB.

Buuuuut, he hasn't forgotten what he's all about: providing premium defense in centerfield.

OF Jeff McNeil led off the 5th inning for New York, and he ambushed the first pitch to center field, hoping to catch the Braves defense napping. He got all of it, too - 100.6 off the bat.

Michael Harris II simply did not care.

Harris got an AMAZING read off the bat, moving almost simultaneously with the swing and made a spectacular diving catch to rob McNeil of a leadoff base hit.

MLB Statcast had that combination of exit velocity and launch angle as an expected batting average of .790, but then again, Money Mike is built different.

It's a reminder that the Braves outfielder, while being absolutely dynamic at the plate, is also one of the best defensive centerfielders in baseball.

Atlanta leads 6-0 in the top of the 6th.
