WATCH: Orlando Arcia cuts into the deficit with an RBI single

The Atlanta shortstop delivered in front of a particularly hostile crowd

It's not been a great night for the Braves so far, as two Bryce Harper homers contributed to a 7-1 Phillies lead in a pivotal Game 3. Harper is possibly fueled by some dubious bulletin board material allegedly provided by Orlando Arcia in the clubhouse after Game 2. We'll dive into that subplot later, but with the Philly crowd lustily booing Arcia every time he comes to the plate, he stepped up in the sixth inning and pulled the Braves a run closer.

Marcell Ozuna led off the inning with a single off Aaron Nola. Matt Strahm relieved Nola with Eddie Rosario's spot in the lineup due up, and the Braves countered with Kevin Pillar. Pillar fell behind 0-2, but worked a walk to put two men on. Arcia stepped up and got a run home with a solid single to center on the first pitch from the Philly southpaw.

The Braves could add no further as Strahm retired Michael Harris II to end the inning, so Atlanta still has a mighty hill to climb as we move into the late innings. The telecast is available on TBS and as part of the B/R Sports Add-On Tier on the streaming service Max. The radio broadcast is available in the Atlanta metro area on 680 The Fan and across the Southeast on the Atlanta Braves Radio Network.
