WATCH: Orlando Arcia keeps the Braves' homer party going in St. Louis

The Atlanta shortstop got just enough of it to clear the left-field wall and extend the Braves' early lead

The season is early yet, but Orlando Arcia is making the Braves' decisions to not only pencil him in as the everyday shortstop, but also to sign him to a contract extension look pretty darn prescient. Leading off the 2nd inning against Steven Matz and the St. Louis Cardinals, Arcia connected on a 1-0 sinker and just managed to sneak it over the wall in straightaway left.

This continues a flurry of early-inning blasts from the Braves over the last two nights, with this one and Austin Riley's two-run jack in the 1st coming in support of Dylan Dodd, who's made the runs stand up in the early going. The series continues tomorrow afternoon with the Braves hopefully going for the sweep.

How to watch

The game broadcast, with Voice of the Braves Brandon Gaudin, is available inside Braves Country on Bally Sports Southeast, and is available on MLB.TV outside of the broadcast area. The radio call, with Ben Ingram, is available locally on 680 AM/93.7 FM The Fan or outside the Atlanta market on the Atlanta Braves Radio Network or MLB.com.
