Here's All Four Brewers Day 1 Draft Selections Amid Crucial Day For Organization
The Milwaukee Brewers have a chance to dramatically enhance the future outlook of their organization with the 2024 Major League Baseball Draft closing in.
The three-day affair that kicks off on Sunday at 7 p.m. ET in Fort Worth, Texas. 72 players will hear their named called on Day 1, where the Brewers will be quite active.
Milwaukee has four picks on the first day of the 20-round draft, tied for the most with the Arizona Diamondbacks and Minnesota Twins.
Here are all four picks the Brewers will make in an effort to bolster their farm system:
Round 1 (17)
Competitive Balance A (34) -- acquired from the Baltimore Orioles in the Corbin Burnes trade
Round 2 (57)
Competitive Balance B (67)
As we've learned from the Orioles' quick rise to contention, the early portion of the draft can alter the entire course of a franchise. Should the Brewers hit on a couple of future impact players, they'll have a next wave of talent to build upon -- which is particularly important given the organization's lack of spending.
The 2024 class, while top-heavy, has plenty of star power and talent throughout. Hopefully, the Brewers can take full advantage of a unique amount of high-end draft picks. We'll be talking about this foursome for years to come, as their success or lack thereof will have a notable impact on the future.
