The St. Louis Cardinals already have added three new starting pitchers into the mix but have other work they need to do.

St. Louis' rotation already has been improved this offseason. The Cardinals' additions of Sonny Gray, Lance Lynn, and Kyle Gibson should help the club greatly but another area the club is looking to improve is the bullpen. While it's unclear exactly what the club will do, it sounds like St. Louis will be very active in the trade market. Three players that are receiving trade interest are outfielders Tyler O’Neill, Dylan Carlson, and Alec Burleson, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch's Derrick Goold.

"The Cardinals set out to add three starters to their rotation and did," Goold said. "With the winter meetings arriving next week in Nashville, the Cardinals will spend the coming days reviewing potential trades. They want to add to the bullpen and will explore free agents and trades to do so. Outfielders Tyler O’Neill, Dylan Carlson, and Alec Burleson have drawn interest from teams, and the Cardinals will weigh whether they can deal from an area of depth to improve elsewhere."

This isn't the first time O'Neill, Carlson, or Burleson have found their names in trade rumors. Each of the three outfielders has been mentioned in trade rumors on numerous occasions over the last year. It seemed like St. Louis would trade away at least one or two of the outfielders ahead of the trade deadline but the club opted to hang on to all three. It doesn't sound like that will be the case this offseason.
