Cubs' Dansby Swanson Wears Iconic Shirt to Support Wife Mallory, Red Stars

Chicago Cubs shortstop Dansby Swanson has always been a huge supporter of his wife, Chicago Red Stars forward Mallory Swanson.

Ahead of her Red Stars matchup vs. Gotham FC and his Cubs game vs. the Pittsburgh Pirates, both on Sunday, Swanson sported a shirt with an amazing message to his wife during warm-ups.

The shirt, designed by Obvious Shirts, read "Mallory Swanson Is Good At Soccer." Even though he wasn't playing in Sunday's game due to a sprained right knee, Swanson found a way to send support to his wife, who will be playing in New Jersey at the Red Bull Arena.

This is Swanson's second season with the Cubs, but his wife was injured in the beginning of April 2023, an injury that sidelined her for the entire season. So, this is the first year in which the shortstop can support his wife while she's actively playing in the same city as him.

The soccer star's next USWNT match takes place on Saturday, June 1 vs. South Korea.

Swanson is expected to be activated off the 10-day IL on Tuesday, May 21. He's been out of the lineup since May 7.
