Reno Aces 5, Tacoma Rainiers 12; 2-2

Peter Solomon pitched 3.1 innings, allowing a three-run homer in the second and getting undone by a big inning in the fourth. Solomon lost the strike zone and Reno had some costly misplays behind him that allowed Tacoma to score six runs. His fastball sat in the low 90s for the first three innings, but the velocity dropped into the upper 80s in his final inning.

Dominic Fletcher (No. 14) had two hits, including a two-run triple against former Diamondback J.B. Bukauskas in the seventh inning.

Emmanuel Rivera committed both of Reno’s errors in that fourth inning, a fielding error that allowed Tacoma to start the inning and a throwing error that allowed a run to score. He went 1-for-4 with a walk, RBI single, and scored a run.

Pavin Smith was 0-for-4 with a walk.

Blaze Alexander (No. 17) went hitless in three at-bats, but was hit by a pitch and scored on Fletcher’s double.

Diego Castillo had two more hits and scored a run, he is currently batting .643 with Reno.

Luis Frías retired all four hitters faced with three groundouts and a strikeout.
