Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Tyler Glasnow wowed in his first home start at Dodger Stadium for his new team. The Dodgers' key offseason trade acquisition was brought in to provide a front-line starter for the rotation, and he has delivered so far.

In his first home start, Glasnow pitched six innings and allowed just two hits, one earned run, and one walk while striking out five batters in the Dodgers' 7-1 win over the St. Louis Cardinals. This followed up his first Dodgers start last week in Seoul, South Korea when Glasnow pitched five innings while allowing two hits, two earned runs, four walks and striking out three.

While these two starts were already encouraging for fans, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts revealed what makes Glasnow's performance so far even more impressive.

“I think the thing that’s most impressive is he hasn’t had his best stuff yet — and those are his words — and he is still pretty dominant," Roberts told reporters after the game.

Glasnow has already shown some impressive pitches and strikes, with his sliders working well for him against the Cardinals on Thursday. The Dodgers have won both games that Glasnow has started, and he hasn't even displayed his best yet, according to Roberts. If Glasnow is capable of even more, the Dodgers have the potential to dominate opponents every time he starts.

In the meantime, Bobby Miller will get the Dodgers next start as Los Angeles faces the Cardinals in a Friday Night Baseball game on Apple TV+. Glasnow is expected to make his third start of the season against the San Francisco Giants next week.
