Dodgers: Dave Roberts Coaching Staff Will Have A Different Look in 2023

A few changes will be made with the team's bench coach role and major league field coordinator role.

Los Angeles is reorganizing their coaching staff this upcoming season after they recently announced a change of roles. The Dodgers shared the news that Danny Lehmann is moving to the bench coach role and Bob Geren will be moving to a major league field coordinator role.

Dodgers beat reporter, Juan Toribio, was one of the reporters to share the news:

After first joining the team in 2018, Lehmann spent the past few years as the Game Planning and Communications coach. Lehmann also spent some time as a special assistant in 2019, but will now be fully transitioning to the team’s bench coach.

Now that he is taking over Geren’s role, Geren will be shifting over into a new position as well.

Geren had previously been the bench coach for the last seven seasons and worked closely with Dave Roberts.

With the managerial experience Geren accumulated from 2007 to 2011 while working with the Oakland A’s, he was interviewed for a few different clubs’ managerial roles in recent offseasons as well.

Although a few changes will be made with Geren and Lehmann, the rest of Dave Roberts’ coaching staff will stay the same:
