The Dodgers lost another frustrating game in a new way on Sunday. The offense remained cold -- 9th inning walk off on Saturday aside -- scoring just 2 runs in the 3-2 losing effort to the Cubs. What was new was home plate umpire Sean Barber taking the bats out of the hands of LA in the 9th inning with the tying run on first base.

After the game, reactions from fans were anywhere from annoyed to irate as the Dodgers fall back to .500 at 8-8 on the season. DodgersNation.com's Doug McKain fired off another edition of the DN Postgame show and let the fans air out their thoughts.

The Dodgers scored just 6 runs in the three game series with the Cubs. LA has lost 6 of its last 9 games. After Sunday's loss, Dave Roberts shared some criticism to reporters.

“The thing for me is, one through nine, I think we all expect more consistent at-bat quality. There’s times where we look really good and put up big numbers and crooked numbers and there are other times when there’s a lot of quick at-bats, a lot of weak contact. You do that, you’re not going to score many runs.”

Notably, this Dodger lineup really struggles without catcher Will Smith. They'll continue to be without Smitty while he's on the IL for the next few days.

The 9th inning had fans calling for robot umpires once again.
