The Dodgers defeated Nationals on a final of 7-3 and take the series 2 games to 3 and split the road trip 3-3.

LA bats did a little bit of everything on offense on Sunday, scoring runs in 4 of 9 innings. Ryan Yarbrough made his first start as a Dodger and went 4 innings before a rain delay forced him from the game.

Let's get into the action.

The Dodgers got the scoring started right away with a first inning two run single from Jason Heyward. James Outman chipped in with a home run in the second, his 19th of the season.

Another Dodger runner scored on a bases loaded hit by pitch later in the inning. More on that in a minute.

The Nationals got two back in the fourth as catcher Drew Millas drove in two with a single off Yarbrough. LA got one run back in the fifth before a rain delay put a stop to play for about an hour.

When play resumed, Austin Barnes -- who was left at the altar while the tarp came on the field -- cashed in a run on a sac fly to give the Dodgers a 6-2 lead at the midway point of the game.

They added a run in the top of the sixth on an RBI double off the bat of Kiké Hernandez, who entered the game in the second after David Peralta left early with a left elbow contusion after getting hit by a pitch.

The Nats added a run of their own in the bottom of the sixth on a bases loaded infield single but Alex Vesia, who was on in relief of Wander Suero, was able to limit the damage to just that run.

Brusdar Graterol, Caleb Ferguson, and Victor Gonzalez held Washington scoreless over the final three innings to give the Dodgers win number 87 on the season.

Miguel Rojas dropped in a four hit game, tying a season high.
