Dodgers Linked to All-Star Free Agent Reliever
The Los Angeles Dodgers' roster appears close to set heading into the 2024 season. However, they still have a few minor holes that can be addressed before Opening Day.
One of the biggest holes may be in the bullpen, as the Dodgers recently traded Yency Almonte, and Ryan Brasier remains on the free agent market.
The Dodgers have been linked to All-Star closer Josh Hader, but he's looking for a contract higher than Edwin Diaz's five-year, $102 million deal.
If the Dodgers wanted to shore up the bullpen without breaking the bank, Joel Reuter of Bleacher Report thinks they should go after former All-Star and World Series champion David Robertson.
"David Robertson has been to the postseason nine times in his 18 seasons, and he proved last season he still has plenty left in the tank with a 3.03 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 10.7 K/9 while tallying 18 saves and 10 holds in 62 games."

Robertson, 38, has been in the league since 2008. In his 15-year career, the right-hander has a 2.90 ERA, 1,055 strikeouts, and 175 saves in 793 games.
Last season with the New York Mets and Miami Marlins, Robertson recorded a 3.03 ERA, 78 strikeouts, and a 1.19 WHIP in 65.1 innings and 62 games.
Robertson has also excelled in the postseason in his career. In 42 postseason appearances, the veteran is 6-0 with a 3.04 ERA. He's thrown 6.1 shutout innings in the World Series.
Robertson has proven he can still be a solid back-end reliever, even entering his 16th year in Major League Baseball.
He signed a one-year, $10 million deal with the Mets last offseason, before being shipped to Miami before the deadline.
