Dodgers Lose Thriller to Braves; Lynn Homer Problems Back Mookie v Acuna MVP Battle
The Dodgers fought valiantly to try and come back from a 7-1 deficit early in the game but a few tack on runs off some costly mistakes ultimately gave the Braves the 8-7 win on Thursday. Lance Lynn had his worst start as a Dodger, going just 4.1 innings while allowing 7 earned runs to the powerful Braves offense.
Inning Play-By-Play
An unfortunate Max Muncy throwing error at third led to the 8th and game winning run for Atlanta in the 6th inning. He made up for his mistake in the bottom of the 7th with a 2 run home run home run that brought the game to its final score.
Mookie Betts had another incredible game, which is pretty ho-hum for him. He dropped a 2 hit night with 2 homers and 4 RBI while going head to head with co-MVP hopeful Ronald Acuna Jr (who had a deflating grand slam in the 2nd inning).
With more good news from the game, reliever Shelby Miller made his first appearance in three months, coming off the IL to toss a scoreless inning the 8th inning.
