Dodgers Making All the Wrong History in 2023 NLDS

The Dodgers need to turn it around if they want their season to continue...

The Dodgers are one loss away from their 2023 season being over.

Down 0-2 to the Arizona Diamondbacks was not the plan for anyone in the Dodgers clubhouse, especially the starting pitchers.

With Clayton Kershaw and Bobby Miller — a walking Hall of Famer and a rookie pitcher shining bright in Los Angeles — these two were supposed to start the dominant run the Dodgers would go on in October.

The opposite happened.

Kershaw started Game 1 and was hoping to start the incredible end of his career postseason stretch with a dominant win. Unfortunately, he recorded 1 out and allowed 6 runs.

With Game 1 behind the Dodgers, the rookie Bobby Miller was looking to get the team's first October win this year. However, he pitched 1.2 innings allowing 3 earned runs.

The Dodgers starting pitchers have not shown up and this electric Dodgers lineup has put a total of four runs in two games, being outscored by their NLDS opponent 15-4.

Now, the Dodgers are on the verge of being an October letdown once again and the pitcher they have to rely on is Lance Lynn.

Lynn started off hot with the Dodgers starting 4-0 with an ERA of 2. Since then, Lynn has continued his struggles with preventing the long ball and his strikeout numbers have gone down.

What's the Positive?

Lynn has a lot of postseason pitching experience and has been dominant at times for the White Sox and Dodgers.

If the Dodgers want to win a game and continue their dream season, the starting pitchers need to step up and this lineup needs to start hitting the baseball.

The Dodgers take on the Diamondbacks in Arizona on Wednesday and this team that won 100 games needs to step up.
