Dodgers News: 9 Players Are Cut from Big League Camp at Spring Training
With the spring training schedule in full swing, there come some tough decisions along with the way for clubs. Who do they want to keep their eyes on and who needs to get out of the way? For the Dodgers, they cleared some room in the clubhouse with their first set of roster cuts of the spring.
Nine players were reassigned to minor league camp on Monday, none from the 40-man roster. Two pitchers land in the top-30 prospects pipeline for LA.

- Nick Nastrini (10 on the pipeline)

Outfielder Yusniel Diaz, most famously known as the guy the Dodgers traded to acquire Manny Machado in 2018, was also assigned to minor league camp.
The clubhouse at Camelback Ranch will certainly be a lot roomier following the cuts. And, with players departing for the World Baseball Classic for the next two weeks -- 7 players to be exact -- there will be plenty of room for activities.
22 days remain on the Cactus League calendar before opening day in Los Angeles. 59 players remain in big league camp.
