The Dodgers won on Friday night. So the question to Dave Roberts was more on the curious side. But still, there was some wonder about exactly what happened in the fourth inning when Miguel Rojas was thrown out by plenty at the plate.

"I think it was one of those things where if Dino [Dodgers third base coach Dino Ebel] could have it back he would do it over. I think with that situation, Miggy's not running as well as we're used to because of those leg injuries. As a third base coach, you're kind of going on what that guy's done and can do and the way Miggy was running, he wasn't running as well as we thought. But Dino's done a great job."

Ebel's decisions are seldom second guessed, but in this case you might think he'd consider holding the veteran Rojas who is far from 100% health wise.

Rojas has battled a myriad of nagging injuries this season, including hamstring, groin, and neck issues. Through the issues, the 34-year-old has put together a solid season and has really come alive over the last month or so.

Since May 21, the shortstop is hitting .290 and has scored 10 runs at the bottom of the lineup. He's done well while unexpectedly taking over for the injured Gavin Lux who was lost for the season after suffering a knee injury early in spring training.

Rojas isn't playing close to his full potential but he's playing well enough to be a difference maker in the Dodger lineup, and particularly on the defensive side of things where, even with his limitations, he's still been above average at short.

Should Dino have sent Miggy? Probably not. Especially with Mookie Betts coming to the plate. But it's better to see an aggressive third base coach than a conservative one.
