Dodgers News: Dave Roberts Has Not So Great News on Injured Clayton Kershaw, Chris Taylor

The All-Star break can't come soon enough.

The Dodgers have been struck with the injury bug this season. Everyone in the Opening Day starting rotation has missed time except for Clayton Kershaw, but he now seems to be nearing a potential IL stint.

On Saturday, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts provided an injury update on Kershaw, who left his last start after just 79 pitches through six dominant innings.

Kershaw later explained that his shoulder got "a little cranky" during the game, and that he received an injection to hopefully ease the pain.

On Saturday, Kershaw was seen throwing in Kansas City, but he came out with not the most positive update.

"It went fine," Kershaw said. "Still no decision yet but good progress. Still kind of on the wait-and-see."

Roberts also chimed in, saying it went "just OK."

It seems unlikely Kershaw is able to make his next start on Monday, and if he's not, RHP Michael Grove will come back up in his place. That means, Kershaw would be hitting the injured list for the first time this season.

Bad News on Taylor

Roberts also provided an update on Chris Taylor, who went on the injured list with a sore right knee, and that was even worse news.

Roberts said that Taylor will not return until after the All-Star break, meaning he'll be out another two weeks.

Yonny Hernandez will likely remain on the active roster in his place, and he's looked good in limited time, going 1-for-5 with three runs batted in entering Saturday's game.

Get well soon, Clayton and Chris!
