Clayton Kershaw has done an unbelievable job of staying healthy during his age-35 season and 16th year in the league. The injury bug, however, may finally be catching up to him.

On Tuesday, Kershaw left his dominant start against the Rockies after throwing just 79 pitches across six dominant innings. Kershaw told Dodgers manager Dave Roberts that he was done for the night, and Roberts, of course, listened.

After the game, Kershaw was very vague about the injury, and said he would provide an update on Wednesday. Kershaw hasn't yet provided that update, but his manager did — and it was a bit concerning.

Roberts avoided saying a lot about the situation, rather just saying that the injury was not involving Kershaw's back and that he hopes he'd be able to make his next start in the rotation.

Roberts said he wanted to give Kershaw the opportunity to talk to the media, but that opportunity has not come yet.

To make matters a little more concerning, LHP Justin Bruihl was brought onto the taxi squad on Wednesday, "in case" Kershaw had to go on the injured list.

On the bright side of things, if Kershaw did go on the injured list, he would only have to miss one scheduled start with the All-Star break coming up. Roberts said that could definitely be a possibility, if Kershaw was open to it.

"I wouldn’t be totally opposed to that," Roberts said, "given what he’s done for us this first half. But having a conversation with him, that might be different. And with what he’s done, he has earned that right to be in the conversation. So, we’re gonna have no problem having that conversation."

Hopefully Kershaw provides an update after Wednesday's game, but for now, we'll just have to wait and hope for the best.
