Dodgers News: Fire Breaks Out Near Dodger Stadium on Friday Night
As the Dodgers are taking on the Giants at Dodger Stadium, a small brush fire has broken out near the ballpark in Elysian Park. KCAL 9 News caught the action from the newscopter before the start of the game.
Dodger Stadium was a scene for controversy before the game as protestors set up a barricade outside of the ballpark hours before first pitch. There's no word if the fire was caused by anyone involved in the protest.
Thankfully no injuries have been reported at the time.
The game against the Giants started without a hitch as the club looked to pick up with number 40 on the season. The Dodgers turned to rookie starter Emmet Sheehan, who was making his Major League debut.
More to come on this story if anything develops beyond what has been reported.
