Dodgers News: First Look at JD Martinez in New LA Threads
The Dodgers shared an exclusive, first-look at JD Martinez via Twitter earlier today and it has fans hyped. The team has been excited for their new designated hitter to rock their signature blue, especially considering Martinez's history against them.
Fans have been coping with the loss of veteran Justin Turner but have big expectations for the slugger, Martinez, this season. They are essentially viewing him as Turner's replacement.
JD Martinez has been named an All-Star five times in his career, including the past two seasons. He recorded 16 home runs in 2022 but added 43 doubles and had a particularly strong stretch from September to October posting an OPS of .889.
Other players have expressed their positivity towards the JD Martinez signing, particularly Max Muncy who said that he is looking forward to working alongside and learning from the 35-year-old veteran.
We think Martinez looks perfect in his new uniform and those fans looking to represent the Dodgers, our friends over at Dodgers Nation shared a tweet of their 2023 spring training hats starting at $45.99, when we'll get our first real look at the new Dodger.
Players begin reporting to Camelback Ranch in Arizona next week. Individual game tickets are on sale now.
