It's another busy day for the Los Angeles Dodgers on the roster front. First, as expected, the club announced a roster move to add a pitcher ahead of game two against the visiting Giants. LHP Bryan Hudson is getting the call up from the Triple-A squad to add a fresh arm to the bullpen. In a corresponding move, RHP Tayler Scott was designated for assignment.

Hudson is another pitcher that will be making his MLB debut for the Dodgers this year. The former Cubs third round draft pick signed with LA last offseason and has pitched well for the AAA Oklahoma City team. In 25 games, the 26-year-old has a 2.17 ERA over 29 innings. He owns a 4.56 career ERA in the minor leagues.

Scott, 31, got into 6 games with LA, allowing 6 runs over 6 innings. He struck out 8 batters and walked 4.

In other news, the Dodgers appear to have avoided the worst case scenario on the injury front with Chris Taylor. An MRI revealed only a bone bruise in his right knee. He was forced to exit Friday night's game early after an awkward step at first base in the fourth inning.

He received a cortisone injection and the team hopes that he'll be able to avoid an IL stint. However, they are prepared just in case anything changes. Minor league infielder Yonny Hernandez is at Dodger Stadium today on the taxi squad in case the club decides to make a move.

Finally, David Peralta, who also exited Friday night's game early, feels better a day after he felt something in his left hamstring. He'll be limited to pinch hitting duties for the next few games.
