Over the years, the Los Angeles Dodgers have made themselves into a machine that churns out great starting pitchers. It has been the organization's bread and butter and continues to this day.

They have a knack for finding gems in the draft and over international waters, and it has helped the team see major success on the field. Some recent names that come to mind are Clayton Kershaw, Julio Urias, Walker Buehler and more.

With this skill, LA continues to have a nice crop of potential future aces in the farm system, and some are even up in the big leagues right now.

Recently, Dodgers insider Jose Mota of Spectrum SportsNet LA spoke with Doug McKain of Dodgersnation.com and gave his thoughts on one pitcher of the Dodgers in particular. Mota believes that rookie Bobby Miller is on the same level as Kershaw and Urias in terms of being a dominant starter, and will become the next big thing for LA. You can see the entire video here!

“There’s nothing this guy needs in order to go out there and win games. He takes the mound like Clayton Kershaw and Urias. They don’t go out there to give you a quality start. He goes out there to give you a win. And if it takes five innings, six or seven, he’s ready.”

Miller has already had an impressive start to his big-league career. On the season, he holds a record of 8-3 with an ERA of 4.00. With a rookie pitcher, there will be growing pains, but Miller has done his best to navigate through them.

It has impressed everyone in the Dodgers organization, and while his strikeout numbers remain a little low, Mota believes those will come in time.

“I’m glad he doesn’t chase the strikeouts because eventually, they will come.”

For now, Miller just needs to focus on getting better each time out on the mound. He has been a key to the Dodgers success this season and should continue being a contributor into the playoffs.
