Dodgers News: LA Signs 2 International Free Agent Pitchers

Some minor roster activity for the Los Angeles Dodgers.

While the World Series plays on without the Dodgers in the mix, the front office is still hard at work shaping the organization for the future. With that, a pair of under the radar international free agent signings were unearthed on Tuesday as prospects watcher Josh Thomas noted on X.com.

Also as Thomas said, there's not much in the way of information out there about either pitcher. What we do know is that one throws left-handed, is out of Venezuela, and is named Williams Salazar. The 18-year-old was assigned to the Dominican Summer League LAD Mega team.

The other player is a 17-year-old right-hander named Weslin de los Santos out of the Dominican Republic and is also on the DSL LAD Mega roster.

Chances are we don't hear much about these guys for quite some time, if ever. But at least the team continues to add to the organizational depth in the hopes of finding the next diamond in the rough.

Other Dodgers Roster News

Two weeks ago it was reported that the Dodgers outrighted RHP Wander Suero to Triple-A Oklahoma, removing him from the 40-man roster. Joining him on Tuesday was RHP Tyler Cyr who was removed from the 40-man as the front office preps for an offseason of moves.

First up will be the tough decisions on who to protect in the Rule 5 Draft. The protection deadline lands on November 15 and is held on December 6th.
