Dodgers News: Michael Busch Launches First Career MLB Home Run
The day has finally come for Dodgers rookie Michael Busch! In his 17th big league game and third big league call up, the top prospect drove a Gavin Williams curveball over the right center field fence for career home run number 1.
Here's a look at the bomb.
The ball traveled a projected 401 feet on a 99.1 MPH exit velocity and 32 degree launch angle. The shot put the Dodgers ahead 3-2 over the Guardians in Cleveland and put a lingering smile on the 26-year-old's face.
As noted on the broadcast, where the baseball landed gives Busch a chance at ending up with that baseball in his collection, which would be a great keepsake for him and his family.
For Busch, it continues a hot streak that has been ongoing down at the Triple-A level where he's hit 17 homers since the start of July while batting .333.
Reactions to come but congratulations to Michael for the first of many!
