Dodgers News: Miguel Rojas Reveals Gavin Lux Didn't Text Him Back After Injury

Veteran teammate Miguel Rojas reached out to Gavin Lux following the latter's injury but never heard back.
In this story:

By now you know the outlook on Gavin Lux isn't ideal. The Dodgers shortstop injured himself on an awkward play on the basepaths on Monday while attempting to duck out of the way of a throw from third base. Early reports were that he had sustained a right knee injury and could potentially miss significant time.

Miguel Rojas wasn't at the game when Lux hurt himself but saw the incident from afar and immediately reached out to his teammate, he told reporters on Tuesday morning.

Gavin never responded.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts is expected to provide an update on the injury to Lux shortly. The early expectation is that the shortstop will miss a good stretch of time at minimum. Moreover, if he were to return this season, it would be an absolute shock.

In the event that Lux is out for several months -- or the year -- Rojas said he's ready to step in at shortstop and fill the void.
