Dodgers outfielder Mookie Betts continues to dominate the game of baseball. Whether he's playing in right field, taking grounders at second base or excelling as a big league shortstop, he's always playing the game at an elite level.

Betts is known for his versatility and consistent performance, excelling in all aspects of the game, making him a true five-tool player — and one of the best in baseball, at that.

Recently, during a discussion on the MLB Network, Brian Kenny, Dan Levitt and Ruben Amaro Jr. showered Betts with high praise following the Dodgers' series win over the Braves in Atlanta. Let's start with Amaro's praise, who spent time with Betts as a coach in Boston.

"There’s nothing that Betts cannot do in the game that doesn’t impact the game," Amaro said. "He’s one of the most impactful players I think, and the base running is extraordinary. I had a chance to be with him in a couple of years while I was coaching the Boston Red Sox, and nobody is more instinctive and understands the game and understands his opponents, such that he can take advantage of those opportunities. He is the best I’ve ever seen and he loves being that guy. He strives to be the best at it, and disappointed with himself when he’s not. I mean, he’s pretty extraordinary."

Calling someone the best in baseball at anything is extremely high praise. But, somehow, Levitt's praise was even greater.

"It’s hard to say this about Mookie Betts, but I think he’s underrated," Levitt said. "I think he’s probably an inner-circle Hall of Famer."

An inner-circle Hall of Famer, for those who don't know, is basically the best of the best in baseball's Hall of Fame. ESPN's Jeff Passan put it best in his tweet a few years ago:

"An inner-circle Hall of Famer isn't just first ballot. A Hall of Famer is the best of the best. An inner-circle Hall of Famer is the best of the best of the best."

So, Levitt is basically saying Betts can go down as one of the greatest players to ever play the game of baseball, and is already on his way to doing so. How's that for high praise?

The Dodgers are very lucky to have Betts as the face of their franchise, someone who's going to lead this organization for the next decade.

The team has already celebrated one World Series victory with Betts, but their ambitions extend far beyond that one ring. The Dodgers would love to secure multiple championships during Betts' tenure, and that starts as soon as this season.
