Dodgers News: Mookie Betts 'Super Happy' With Where He's At in Life
Mookie Betts is playing some of the best baseball we've ever seen. His August stat line (.453/.510/.802) is so good, it's almost laughable.
In the middle of his hot streak, Betts returned to Boston for a three-game series against the Red Sox. Friday's game marked the first time Betts has played in Fenway as a member of the away team, having spent his first 6 years in the MLB with the Red Sox.
His hot streak seems to be continuing, as Betts has gone 4-for-10 with an RBI between the two games.
In his first at-bat, the fans in Fenway cheered as he stepped up to the plate. Betts won the American League MVP and the World Series in 2018 with Boston.
“This was a special chapter in my life,” Betts said. “And where I'm at now, it's a little bit easier to look back and look at that young kid and tell him, ‘Good job.”’

Betts is now in his fourth season with the Dodgers and has added another World Series title to his collection. Boston fans will likely always wonder what could have been had the Red Sox front office and Betts come to an agreement on a contract extension.
But for Betts, it's in the past.
“It’s business and both sides took care of themselves. And so sometimes it may not be in the best interest for both, you know, but it is what it is,” said Betts. “I’m wearing an L.A. jersey. I’ve got two kids. I’ve got a production company. I’ve got podcasts. I'm super happy where I'm at. I'm very blessed and very happy.”
