Dodgers News: Tyler Anderson Reveals Why He Left for Angels

It's hard to blame Tyler Anderson for saying yes to the money
In this story:

There was hope for the Dodgers to bring Tyler Anderson back, but before fans knew it Anderson was on his way to the Angels. Anderson accepted a three-year deal for roughly $39 million and is set to be a cornerstone for the Angels success.

The Dodgers offered Anderson a qualifying offer and there was speculation he'd end up accepting the offer, of course this was not the case. There's not much given to why Anderson didn't accept, but Anderson did admit the Dodgers opened up some talks that didn't amount to much.

The Dodgers seemed open to offer a multi-year deal, but with Anderson inevitably accepting the deal with the Angels it's clear the two parties were far apart. Anderson leaves a 111 team and now has the chance to revive an Angels team that has struggled for a better part of the past decade.

It's hard to leave a Dodgers team that looks poised to bounce back from an impressive season that ended in disappointment, but you can't blame Anderson for taking the money. A new team comes with new expectations that Anderson surely will fill.

As for the Dodgers, they now have a hole to fill and many speculate Justin Verlander being a name to watch for the Dodgers. Bringing back Clayton Kershaw helps ease the blow of losing the talent of Anderson, but it's evident the Dodgers are going to need to do more to remain relevant.

Can the Dodgers pull off some magic and hit on a big free agent?
