Dodgers News: Video Seems to Show Shohei Ohtani Working on Pitching Motion
Los Angeles Dodgers acquired the best player in the major leagues this past winter, two-way superstar Shohei Ohtani.
Ohtani can do it all on the field, from running to hitting to pitching. He's a complete six-tool player in the league and does everything at a high level.
Although he possesses these remarkable qualities, possibly his best quality won't be on display this season— his pitching. The 29-year-old won't see the mound this season as he is recovering from Tommy John surgery.
However, that's not stopping the two-time MVP from preparing for the next season on the mound. A recent video surfaced of the unicorn practicing his pitching motion.
It's a tough angle to see from, but you can see it is Ohtani practicing his pitching motion.
The lefty slugger and righty ace have already suffered from two Tommy John surgeries. His latest one came in September 2023.
Nonetheless, he seems eager to return to being the dominant ace we've witnessed his entire career.
The three-time All-Star is as good as they come on the hill. In his career, he has a 3.01 ERA, 608 strikeouts, and a 1.08 WHIP with a 38-19 record in 86 games and 481.2 innings pitched.
It's a shame Ohtani won't be on the mound for Los Angeles in 2024, as the Dodgers have a stacked rotation.
However, the current rotation should be intact for the 2025 season and even better with the addition of the Cy Young hopeful.
