Dodgers NLDS: Diamondbacks Crew Seen Prepping Chase Field Pool for Potential Celebration vs LA

Here we go...

The Los Angeles Dodgers and Arizona Diamondbacks are getting set for a potential elimination game at Chase Field Wednesday night.

The Diamondbacks lead the NLDS two games to zero, and would advance to the NLCS with a win.

Games 3 and 4 are taking place in Arizona, meaning the Diamondbacks will have two opportunities to clinch the series at home. They would love to clinch there for multiple reasons, one of them definitely being the Chase Field pool.

The pool at Chase Field has had tons of history, especially with the Dodgers.

The team famously celebrated in that pool after clinching the NL West while in Arizona in 2013, much to the dismay of the Diamondbacks players and front office members. In 2017 and 2022, the Diamondbacks had security block off their pool so the Dodgers couldn't celebrate in it.

However, entering this series, Diamondbacks president Derrick Hall said he would not forbid the Dodgers from celebrating in the pool. Fortunately for Arizona, they won both games in Los Angeles, meaning the Dodgers won't have any way of clinching in Arizona — but the Diamondbacks will.

Needing to win just one of the next two games to clinch the NLDS, the Diamondbacks had their pool cleaned ahead of Wednesday's game.

It could be a bad omen to prepare for the celebration before the game has even begun, but maybe the Dodgers could use this at motivation to ensure a pool party doesn't happen on their watch.
