Dodgers Notes: In Play on Ohtani, Trade Rumors Galore, Art Fan Lux, and More
The Dodgers beat the Texas Rangers on a final of 11-5 in game one of the three game series and secured a winning road trip to open the second half of the season. Tony Gonsolin struggled some again in the heat and humidity but the bullpen for the greater part did an electric job holding down the streaking Rangers.
One unfortunate note from the game, former Dodger Corey Seager injured his thumb on a double in the 8th inning and is expected to miss some time.
In other news, it's almost August which means there were another million and one trade rumors, including plenty of Shohei Ohtani talk. Plus injured shortstop Gavin Lux is keeping connected to the fans on Twitter, as you'll see below in the social media of the day section.
