On Arizona getaway day yesterday, the Dodgers sent three more players to minor league camp. Veteran outfielders Steven Duggar and Bradley Zimmer, as well as former Nationals pitcher Wander Suero.

All three players are in camp on minor league deals. Bill Plunkett was among those to report the news.

At one point, it seemed like one of Duggar or Zimmer could end up making the team out of camp -- the Dodgers love their veterans with upside. However, prospect James Outman got the job and could end up seeing the lion's share of playing time in center field.

Duggar, spent parts of five seasons with the rival Giants before latching on with the Rangers and Angels last season. Over 271 career games, the lefty batter has a .242/.293/.367 triple slash line with 14 home runs and 87 runs batted in.

Zimmer spent the first five years of his career with the Cleveland Guardians where he mostly struggled at the plate. He moved on to play with the Phillies and Blue Jays last season and owns a lifetime slash line of .213/.298/.333.

Suero, a veteran of four big league seasons, had his best season in his rookie campaign in 2018, posting a 3.59 ERA over 40 games. He spent last season at the Triple-A level for the Angels and owns a 4.61 career ERA over 185 games.

The Dodger active roster stands at 35 as the club welcomes Anaheim to LA tonight. Opening day this this coming Thursday against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
