The Los Angeles Dodgers announced a slew of roster moves on Friday, ahead of the series opener against the Kansas City Royals.

Daniel Hudson, who has been out since last June with a torn ACL, was finally activated off the 60-day injured list. The Dodgers needed to make room on the active roster and the 40-man roster for Hudson, and did that by optioning Nick Robertson and designating Ricky Vanasco for assignment.

Vanasco was acquired via a trade with the Rangers earlier this year, and it'll be interesting to see if he's claimed by another team on waivers. If not, the Dodgers will be able to outright him back to the minor leagues and keep him in their system.

As for Robertson, he's struggled after getting off to a good at the MLB level, sporting a 7.04 ERA in six appearances.

He now heads back to Triple-A, where he'll continue to hone in his stuff.

The biggest news of this all comes in the form of Hudson, though, who's finally back with the Dodgers after a long recovery process.

Hudson was one of the better Dodger relievers in 2022 before tearing his ACL, and will be a huge boost to a bullpen that greatly needs the help.

The Dodgers now have another reliever who can handle the highest of leverage spots, so it'll be interesting to see how Dave Roberts and co. manage the bullpen, especially toward the end of games.

Either way, Hudson is a huge boost, and should exponentially help a bullpen that could use all the help they could get.

Welcome back, Daniel. The bullpen has missed you.
