With the second half of the season underway, teams are looking for players to make the final push to the playoffs. As the trade deadline approaches on August 1st, teams are determining whether they are buyers or sellers.

For the Dodgers, it looks like they are in the market for another starting pitcher and a former All-Star could be the guy for them.

According to MLB.com, White Sox pitcher Lance Lynn could be on the Dodgers' radar to make a mover for.

The two-time All-Star is having a rough 2023 season. In 19 starts, Lynn has a 6.06 ERA and leads the American League in home runs given up. However, the 36-year-old has shown signs of turning things around.

In four starts leading up to the All-Star break, Lynn struck out 41 over 25.2 innings and held opponents to a .198 batting average.

The Dodgers could have some competition if they are looking to acquire the veteran. The Red Sox and Phillies have also been linked to the pitcher who is in the final year of his two-year deal.

If Lynn does come to the Dodgers, he will have a team option for the 2024 season worth $18 million. If the Dodgers don't pick up his option it comes with a $1 million buyout.

Lynn isn't the only White Sox pitcher that is being targeted by the Dodgers. Lucas Giolito has also been linked to Los Angeles.

The Dodgers are going to need to make a move for a pitcher, whether it's Lynn or Giolito, if they want to be competitive in the playoffs.
