As the regular season winds down, some players are getting closer to their potential final starts with their teams. After the final out of the World Series, the free agency hot stove will begin heating up. This year features a stacked class of pitchers, highlighted by the Angels' Shohei Ohtani, who of course likely won't be pitching in 2024

While most people will have their eyes set on Ohtani, the Dodgers could be a real possibility for the next-best pitcher.

According to MLB.com's Mark Feinsand, the Dodgers could be a potential landing destination for Blake Snell. The MLB writer also mentioned the Cardinals to be a fit for Snell.

Snell has a lot of history with the Dodgers.

In 2020, the left-hander was infamously pulled out of game six of the World Series with a lead that would soon disappear and eventually gave the Dodgers the World Championship.

The following offseason, Snell was traded to San Diego in a blockbuster trade.

As the rivalry between the Padres and Dodgers has heated up, Snell has been right in the middle of it. Now there's a real chance that Snell could be on the other side of the rivalry.

The Dodgers would be interested in picking up another elite left-handed pitcher. As of now, Julio Urias is most likely leaving the team in free agency and Clayton Kershaw's future is unknown.

If either of those lefties left the team, Snell would slide nicely into their place in the rotation.

Snell is currently having one of the best seasons of his career.

Since having an ERA over 5 in his first 9 starts, Snell has firmly entered his name into the Cy Young conversation in the National League.

In his last 17 starts, Snell has a 1.48 ERA and could potentially get even better in Dodger blue. The next big question is, would Dodger fans even want the long time rival suiting up for their team?
