Dodgers Rumors: Writer Predicts Which LA Player Will Be Traded This Offseason
Though it's hard to imagine breaking up much of the current Dodgers core, it's never too early to look ahead to the future of the roster.
Given the return of some players at his position and an decent price tag for his advanced age, one writer predicted that shortstop Miguel Rojas could be dealt by the winter.
It’s tough to find a good trade candidate for the Dodgers, who have a ton of guys hitting free agency, as well as four relievers with club options that they’ll probably decline. But with Gavin Lux presumably returning from his torn ACL and with Mookie Betts looking like he could at least be a part-time second baseman moving forward, they don’t have much need for Rojas. He turns 35 in February and has been a black hole in the lineup for most of the year, but he was solid, near-everyday shortstop prior to this season.

Solid defense has always been Rojas' calling card no matter where the infielder has gone, but the Dodgers may be keen to moving the Venezuelan international due to his lack of production with the bat.
The veteran was thought to be brought in as a platoon bat with Gavin Lux set to take over the full-time shortstop role.
LA's youngster unfortunately tore his ACL in spring training, forcing Rojas to take on an expanded offensive role, one that has not gone to plan at the plate.
Defensively, Rojas is still making slick plays in the field, but isn't anywhere near the offensive players that both Trea Turner and Corey Seager have been in year's past for the Boys in Blue.
No matter what the future holds, the Dodgers have Rojas for the present and his contributions to the team still have the roster well poised for a postseason run.
