Los Angeles Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani is a notoriously private person. 

He's been that way since entering Major League Baseball with the Los Angeles Angels. When pressed for anything semi-personal by reporters, he'll often deflect sheepishly and charmingly. 

His love life is something many have wondered about considering he's been very quiet on the matter. 

Well, on Wednesday evening, all of that changed: 

After watching teammate Yoshinobu Yamamoto dominate the Texas Rangers in his Los Angeles Dodgers debut, Ohtani announced via his Instagram account that he is married to an unknown person from his native Japan.  

We have no idea who this individual is, and we might not ever know who the mystery person is. 

Regardless, we wish Mr. Ohtani and his partner a hearty congratulations on his marriage announcement!
