Dodgers' Star Says Seoul Series Assignment Would Be An Honor
The Los Angeles Dodgers have yet to officially name who will start when they open the regular season against the San Diego Padres in Seoul Series on March 20 and March 21.
One possibility is the Dodgers start their 12-year, $325 million free agent signing Yoshinobu Yamamoto.
Yamamoto told reporters at the Dodgers' spring training facility, including Dodgers Nation’s Doug McKain, that he would be honored to pitch against the Padres in Seoul.
“I'm not sure because I don’t think it’s official yet, but if I throw during the series it would be such an honor. I would do my best to contribute to winning the game.”

There's a good chance it could be Yamamoto. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts indicated there's a strong shot that Yamamoto and Tyler Glasnow will be the Dodgers' starters in Seoul, South Korea for the two-game series.
If this is the case, Yamamoto will officially make his MLB debut in the Seoul Series. If this happens, Yamamoto will also make history as the first pitcher to make their MLB debut as the Opening Day starter since Al Gerheauser did so back in 1943.
In the meantime, fans are now waiting to see when Yamamoto will make his Cactus League debut for the Dodgers. Yamamoto did not plat in the Dodgers' opening game against the San Diego Padres, but will likely make his Cactus League debut in the next few days.
