Former Dodger and fan favorite Justin Turner provided us with tremendous news following a scary moment in last Monday's game between the Boston Red Sox and Detriot Tigers.

Red Sox beat reporter Ian Browne tweeted out a quote from JT saying he is getting better day by day.

Turner suffered a gruesome injury after Tigers pitcher Matt Manning accidentally hit Turner in the face in the first inning of a spring training match. He immediately fell to the ground and eventually sustained a facial laceration that required 16 stitches for the redhead.

Baseball is one of the best sports in the world. A great play can happen at any moment; all it takes is one swing or pitch. At the same time, the opposite can happen, and players must be vigilant of that. Unfortunately, that was the case for Los Angeles fan favorite Justin Turner.

Nonetheless, it's great to see JT getting better, and even though he is not wearing a Dodger jersey, we can't wait to see him play baseball again.

Turner will always be loved in Los Angeles; we wish him the best and hope to see him back on the diamond soon.
