Former Dodgers Fan Favorite Pitchers Signs 2-Year Deal With AL Team
Former Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher turned reliever Kenta Maeda has found a new home.
The seven-year veteran has signed a two-year deal with AL Central club, the Detroit Tigers.
Maeda spent the last three seasons with the Minnesota Twins and was solid as can be. He recorded an 18-14 record with a 4.02 ERA in 277.1 innings pitched. On top of that, he recorded 210 strikeouts, a 106 ERA+, and a 3.81 FIP.
The 35-year-old will earn $12 million a year for his two-year deal.
The former Dodger spent his first four seasons with the Boys on Blue and played a pivotal role in leading them to their two World Series trips in 2017 and 2018.
All Dodger fans loved Maeda, who will forever hold a special place in our hearts. We wish him the best with the Tigers and nothing but great health for the rest of his career.
Congratulations, Kenta!
