Former Dodgers RHP Designated for Assignment By New York
Former Dodgers RHP Tyson Miller is heading back to waivers. Tim Britton of The Athletic announced that Miller was designated for assignment by the New York Mets on Wednesday, the team he joined just three walks ago off waivers from LA.
Miller appeared in just one game for the Mets, throwing two scoreless and hitless innings while walking two.
Now, he's back on waivers, looking to join what would be his fourth team this season.
Miller began the year with the Milwaukee Brewers, appearing in seven games there before being acquired by the Dodgers.
Then, in Los Angeles, Miller appeared in just one game, allowing two earned runs in two innings.
Miller pitched well for New York, but is now out of a job yet again.
He's looked solid at times this season, and could definitely contribute to a team down the stretch of this season.
Miller should get another opportunity somewhere else before this year ends, but we'll have to see who decides to take a chance on him.
For now, the 28-year-old out of Fairfield, CA is back on waivers.
