How is Hurricane Hilary Altering the Dodgers’ Schedule This Weekend?

It's not often you see a hurricane in Southern California.

Plans for the Dodgers weekend series against the Miami Marlins are being changed as the threat of Hurricane Hilary grows in Southern California.

The hurricane is expected to make landfall sometime before Monday in Los Angeles.

MLB announced on Friday that Sunday's game at Dodger Stadium will now be played as a doubleheader on Saturday.

The Dodgers aren't the only team being affected by the hurricane.

The Padres and Angels also have games on Sunday that will also be moved to Saturday for a doubleheader.

At Dodger Stadium on Saturday, the two games will be played at 12:10 p.m. and 6 p.m., respectively.

Fans who bought tickets to attend on Sunday will now be able to go to the 12:10 p.m. game on Saturday. Those who have tickets for the original Saturday game will still be able to go to the nightcap at 6:00 p.m.

The Dodgers will now have off days on Sunday and Monday, before starting a series in Cleveland against the Guardians on Tuesday.
