In this story:

One of the most beloved Dodgers players left the organization this past offseason, as the team was in the midst of a change. Infielder Justin Turner and the Dodgers couldn’t agree to a new contract for the veteran, and he ultimately decided to head east to join the Boston Red Sox.

Turner is still loved in Los Angeles, and he still has love for the organization, despite the way things went down during the offseason. So when the Dodgers were in town this past weekend, he decided to schedule his annual “Turner Trot” fundraiser.

It was a cool move by Turner, and while in town, Dodger fans heavily showed up to support the cause. Turner thanked LA fans on social media for showing up. You can see his message to fans below!

While everyone would have loved Turner to return to the boys in blue, it wasn’t meant to be. But once a Dodger, always a Dodger. This is especially true for Turner, as he was one of the more influential players for LA over the last decade.

Turner was one of the most popular members of the team and holds multiple Dodgers records. His performances in the postseason also helped elevate him to stardom in Los Angeles.

Maybe Turner can return to LA at some point down the line, but for now, he remains a member of the Red Sox. He remains a very solid hitter in baseball, hitting .290 with 21 home runs and 84 runs batted in.

The veteran infielder has proved this year that he can still produce at a high level, and all of Los Angeles wishes him well.

It was cool to see Turner and members of the Dodgers link up this weekend during the series. It brought back some old memories between the two sides, and Turner will forever be a massive part of the Dodgers history.
