One of the few areas that the Dodgers haven't addressed this offseason has been in their bullpen. However, L.A. has been linked with free agent closer Josh Hader and Cleveland Guardians' closer Emmanuel Clase this winter, signaling that they may be looking to add.

Boston Red Sox beat reporter Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com is predicting that the team will trade veteran closer Kenley Jansen this winter. Cotillo believes that the Dodgers would be a good trade partner with Boston for him.

"Things didn’t end well between Jansen and the Dodgers but a reunion there makes some sense."

Bringing back Jansen would surely bring up some feelings from Dodgers fans. He was with the team for 12 years before he left in free agency.

However, this pairing isn't as crazy as some would think. The Dodgers currently lack a traditional 9th-inning closer, so Jansen could fit the bill. They know Jansen well from his time with the team, and he would bring plenty of experience with him.

Jansen was solid for the Red Sox in 2023, making the All-Star team. He posted an ERA of 3.63 but was effective in save situations. The veteran posted 29 saves and had an ERA of 0.65 in those situations.

If they were to bring Jansen in, it would send reliever Evan Phillips back to a more comfortable role as a versatile option. This move would lengthen the Dodgers' bullpen.

Depending on what the asking price would be for him, this could be a smart move for L.A. The Dodgers have gone all-in so far this offseason, so they should look to continue doing so.
