In this story:

As the Dodgers continue talks to try and improve their starting rotation, they have been speaking with the Tampa Bay Rays for starter Tyler Glasnow. It's been reported that the Dodgers are one of the top landing spots for the pitcher, but talks remain ongoing.

In addition to pitching, the Dodgers need another outfielder on the roster. This would preferably be a right-handed hitting player to counteract their heavy left-handed lineup. One name that has surfaced is Randy Arozarena, also with the Rays.

There has been talk about a package deal to land both Glasnow and Arozarena in Los Angeles. And Arozarena just fueled the speculation on a potential deal to LA. Late Tuesday night, he posted a picture of himself with the newest Dodger Shohei Ohtani.

Is this a harmless photo from Arozarena? Or does it mean something? Why would he do this?

This has led to many fans online believing that a deal could be in the works to bring him to Los Angeles. The Dodgers certainly have the prospect capital to make a deal happen with Tampa Bay, and he would serve them well.

Arozarena has been one of the better outfielders in the game of late, and he is a bundle of energy that the Dodgers need. Last season with Tampa Bay, hit he .254 with 23 home runs and 83 runs batted in.

But it's in the postseason where he has made his money, as he has a 1.104 postseason OPS for his career.

The Dodgers have lacked success in the playoffs, and Arozarena could change that. He seems to get better when the lights get brighter, and LA saw this firsthand during the 2020 World Series.

This could all possibly be nothing, but the timing is very interesting to say the least. Maybe Arozarena will become a member of the Dodgers, and if that happens, it means that L.A. is finally embracing the villain role around the league that many have been wanting them to take on.
