The Dodgers have had a great off-season so far, and they aren't done yet. Not only did they sign two-way superstar Shohei Ohtani to a 10-year contract, they went out and traded for Tampa Bay Rays ace Tyler Glasnow.

The 30-year-old right-hander is one of the best pitchers in all of baseball. The front office was excited enough by what he can do to trade two big leaguers — pitcher Ryan Pepiot and Jonny DeLuca — to Tampa Bay for Glasnow and outfielder Manuel Margot, then immediately give Glasnow a contract extension through the 2028 season.

Glasnow spoke with Doug McKain of DodgersNation.com for an interview and gave his thoughts on the Dodgers' reported signing of Japanese pitching sensation Yoshinobu Yamamoto.

“Super excited,” Glasnow said. “The kid’s unbelievably talented. Really young. Has the mentality, too, to be a superstar. Like, nothing really fazes him. He just has elite stuff and I’m excited to go and meet him.”

Having Glasnow and Yamamoto lead the Dodgers' rotation for years to come gives the Dodgers a lethal duo at the top. Both are considered aces in their own right, and Los Angeles is lucky to have the two right-handers.

Yamamoto was one of the more highly coveted free agents in recent memory. The Dodgers won a fierce bidding war against the New York Mets and New York Yankees to sign him to a 12-year contract

Yamamoto will bring a new sense of life to this pitching staff. In losing three NL Division Series games to the Arizona Diamondbacks in October, the Dodgers' three starters (Clayton Kershaw, Bobby Miller and Lance Lynn) allowed 13 runs in less than five combined innings.

Los Angeles entered the offseason desperately needing help to upgrade its starting rotation. Two months in, the Dodgers have added some premium talent to the mix

The front office might still try to add another arm or two, but it deserves credit for locking up its biggest targets already.
