Yankees’ Star Blames Dodger Stadium for Ruining Aaron Judge’s Season

Gerrit Cole is left wondering what could have been in the Bronx.

The Dodgers had the 2023 New York Yankees in mind when they built Dodger Stadium. Back in June, the Yankees visited LA and took two of three games from the Dodgers. However, the big loss came when they lost 2022 AL MVP Aaron Judge to a toe injury in right field.

Judge's All-Star teammate Gerrit Cole wondered what exactly could have been for the 6'7" slugger if it weren't for the concrete curb holding the bullpen gate in place at Chavez Ravine.

A spectacular running play cost Judge about a third of the 2023 season and the Yankees a possible postseason berth.

The Dodgers said they would work to make the section safer for players at the ballpark, including trying to add padding to the lower portion of the outfield wall and gate, but up to this point nothing has changed.
