Zack Collins Called Up

The Guardians are incredibly thin at catcher right now with David Fry on the injured list and Cam Gallagher taking a nasty fall ball off his mask on Wednesday. Cleveland will call up C Zack Collins to take over the backup catching duties while Cam is in concussion protocol.

Collins has hit .255 with 15 home runs and an.OPS of .801 in 109 games for the Columbus Clippers this season. 

Cam Gallagher To Injured List

Cam Gallagher took a nast foul ball off the mask on Wednesday in Cincinnati and came out of the game. He was placed on the 7-day MLB concussion IL.

Tim Herrin Recalled

Lefthanded pitcher Tim Herrin will start his fifth stint with the Big League club in 2023. He's posted a 5.55 ERA in 20 Major League outings and as a SO9 of 10.4.

Daniel Norris DFA'd

The Guardians had to make room for Zack Collins on the 40-man roster which meant someone had to be the odd man out. In this case, it was Daniel Norris.

Norris made six appearances with the Guardians with an ERA of 3.38 over 10.2 innings pitched.
