Early Scenes From Guardians Spring Training
Folks, the day is finally upon us!
Pitchers and catchers have officially reported to Arizona and a handful of other players are already at camp. Spring Training is officially underway!
The truck carrying all of the Guardians' equipment got to Goodyear Ballpark in plenty of time before players started showing up.
Now onto the players who are here. The Guardians went out and signed the biggest slugger on the market during free agency. Signing Josh Bell fills the very few holes that were left in Cleveland's lineup.
One of the earliest videos we received out of the Guardians' camp was Oscar Gonzalez getting work done in the cage. Gonzalez is coming off of a fantastic rookie season, but he's looking to prove he wasn't a one-season wonder.
The sluggers weren't the only ones getting in work at Goodyear. Shane Bieber, Cal Quantrill, and Aaron Civale were each seen throwing bullpen sessions as they work their stamina up to full strength.
I can't believe we've finally made it! This offseason has felt short because the Guardians played into October, but at the same time so long because of the anticipation that fans have for the upcoming season.
We won't have to wait too much longer to see this team in action!
